This Privacy Policy explains how Googy("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website and application at googyapp.com (the "Service").
Googyis operated from the United Arab Emirates. Company registration is in progress; until formal registration is complete, references to "we" or "our" mean the team operating the Service. We will update this policy with registered entity details when available.

1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in (for example, with Google via Firebase Authentication), we receive and store:
- Your email address
- A unique account identifier (Firebase user ID)
- Credit balance and signup-credit status
- An internal user ID used to link your activity in our systems
Service usage
When you run analyses or comparisons, we process:
- Place names, Google Maps URLs, place IDs, or search queries you submit
- Generated reports and analysis results (stored to support your use of the Service and operational needs)
- Credit consumption records linked to your account
- Output language preferences you select
Billing information
Credit purchases are processed by our payment provider (currently Dodo Payments). We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We may receive and store:
- Payment status and transaction references
- A payment-provider customer identifier
- Purchase metadata needed to grant credits (pack, amount, credits)
Card and billing details are handled directly by the payment provider under its own privacy policy.
Feedback
If you send feedback through the app, we collect:
- Your message and optional category (bug, idea, other)
- Optional star rating
- Your account email and user ID
- Technical context such as browser user-agent when submitted from the web app
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the Service is used, such as page views, feature usage, and checkout events. When you are signed in, we may associate analytics events with your internal user ID to improve the product. GA4 may set cookies or use similar technologies. Technical & security data
- IP address, request timestamps, and basic server logs for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting
- Request identifiers used for idempotent credit operations and error diagnosis
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate you and manage your account and credits
- Process purchases and grant credits
- Generate place review analyses and comparisons you request
- Respond to support requests and feedback
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
- Understand product usage through analytics
We use automated systems, including AI models, to analyze publicly available or licensed review data. We do not use your private messages for unrelated advertising profiling.
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases to process personal data:
- Contract — to provide the Service you request, including analyses and credit purchases
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and improve functionality
- Consent — where required for optional analytics or marketing (where offered)
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data under applicable law
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Infrastructure hosts — cloud providers that run our API and database (for example, Render and managed PostgreSQL)
- Authentication — Google / Firebase for sign-in
- Payments — Dodo Payments for checkout and webhooks
- Place & review data providers — services that supply Google place and review data needed to run your queries
- AI processing — model providers used to generate summaries and insights from review text
- Analytics — Google Analytics
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice where appropriate).
5. International transfers
We and our service providers may process data in the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the European Union, and other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, we take steps designed to protect it in line with applicable law, including using providers with appropriate safeguards where required.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to:
- Maintain your account and credit history
- Provide support and resolve disputes
- Meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements
- Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms
You may request account deletion by contacting us. Some records (for example, billing or fraud-prevention logs) may be kept longer where required by law or legitimate business needs.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and secure handling of API credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights & choices
Depending on your location (including UAE PDPL and, where applicable, GDPR), you may have rights to:
- Access personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites (for example, Google Maps or payment checkout). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.
